There are a lot of reasons to play typing games but the best reason is to have fun! Learning to type is a good thing to do and typing games make it enjoyable to learn. Typing games help you to learn how to type and speed up the rate at which you type. They also teach you how to touch type in some games.
Free Typing Games
There are so many different typing games out there but I will be adding some of my favorites here. To start you off there is a really good typing game called Typing Test.
In this game you have to type the letters that appear on the screen. Use lowercase letters and try to get as many letters as you can in 30 seconds.
It's a lot of fun... give it a try!

Learn To Touch Type
Learning to touch type can be difficult but it means you can type things without looking at the keys. The best way to learn to touch type is by practicing typing things and there are typing tutors and also typing games that can help with this.
It's always wise to practice regularly and to try to type a good selection of words. Many typing tutor programs are expensive but you can pick up free demo versions and these will let you practice somewhat.
Have Fun With A Typing Game
The main thing when learning to type is to have fun. Typing games make learning to type less of a chore and more of a fun activity.

Air Typer
Place your hands on the keyboard and type the words or letters as they appear on the balloons.
Arachnid Falls
Watch out for the arachnids! They want your cherries. Type the words they carry to stop them.
Assault Typing
Destroy the alien enemies by typing the words located on their planes. Try not to get shot down!
Axis of Evil
Choose your own speed and destroy all incoming missiles by typing the letters or words on them.
Gyroshi
Type the letters as they appear over the hole. Try to keep up with all the typing puzzles.
Keyboard Defender
Survive as long as you can by typing the variety of keyboard characters that are attacking you.
Kids Typing
Type the letters as they appear in the starry sky. Beware, the letters can appear pretty fast.
Krazy Keys
The object of this typing game is to key in the alphabet in as little time as possible.
Magic Library
Type in the letters before they hit the bottom of the screen. Grab scrolls and candles for bonuses.
Qwerty Warriors
Below each enemy is a word you need to type. Hit enter, if the word is correct the enemy is dead.
Qwerty Warriors 2
Type the words correctly to defeat the enemy. Don’t let the enemy get too close or you will be shot.
Sunrise Typer
Type the sentence to make the sun rise. The faster you type, the faster the sun comes up.
Super Typing
Type in the words under the bullseyes. The bullseyes will disappear if the word is correct.
Touch Typing
Practice the words you need to learn. Copy and paste the text into the box and practice away.
Type Em Up
Dodge the enemy shots and try not to be killed. Attack the enemy by typing the same characters.
Type Masta
When the countdown says go, type the letter that is being shown in the letter display circle.
Type Type Revolution
The letters will pass through a timing bar. Make sure you type them correctly to get a high score.
Typing 01
Type the correct letter as it appears. Try not to make your miss count override your correct count.
Typing Master
Have fun trying to type out ten sentences as fast as possible without making any mistakes.
Typing Test
When the letters appear on the screen, type them correctly. Do as many as you can in thirty seconds.
